Sts. Peter & Paul School Uniforms
As a Catholic school community, we believe that how we dress reflects our respect for ourselves, others, and the values we uphold. Students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately at all times, in a way that reflects the dignity of the human person and supports a learning environment rooted in faith, respect, and responsibility.
Clothing should be neat, clean, and modest in fit and style. All attire must avoid being excessively tight, short, revealing, or bearing inappropriate images or messages.
Modesty in dress is one way we honor God, show respect for ourselves and others, and contribute to a positive and focused school atmosphere. Some reminders are listed below.
Uniform Days – Wednesday and Friday for grades K-8
- Wednesday – Choose your color (white, navy, royal blue)
- Friday – Wear navy
- Bottoms – Solid colored dark black, navy, or khaki pants, skirts, or shorts (when allowed). Athletic pants are not permitted.
- Solid colored leggings are only acceptable if worn under a skirt.
- Jumpers must be worn with a shirt underneath. A collared shirt is encouraged.
- Hooded or crewneck sweatshirts are encouraged to have a SPPS or trojan design or logo to be worn during class.
- Zip up sweatshirts and cardigans should be blue, gold, or any solid neutral color.
- Solid, neutral colored long sleeve shirts may be worn under the polo.
- Shoes must be closed toed and have a back (i.e. no flip flops, Uggs, crocs or similar).
Other School Days – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
- Shorts are allowed the first and fourth quarters
- Shorts of appropriate length – Thumb length or longer when arms are down at sides.
- Leggings may be worn only if a loose fitting shirt/top has a length that is thumb length or longer when holding arms down by sides.
- Pants/jeans should not have holes or distressed areas on them.
- Tank tops and crop tops are not permitted.
- Shoes must be closed toed and have a back (i.e. no flip flops, Uggs, crocs or similar).
Hats/caps and coats should not be worn during class time. At the discretion of the teacher, coats or jackets are allowed in extreme conditions.
Clothing should be appropriate for the season. Students will not be allowed to play in the snow at recess unless they have snow boots.
Make-up and jewelry is allowed in moderation for girls and must not be excessive or distract from the learning environment. Guidelines are at the discretion of the Principal.
It is up to the discretion of the teachers and the principal to determine the appropriateness of clothing items. The principal has the final decision on questionable clothing items. In most cases, students will be given a warning the first time a violation occurs. For additional violations, parents will be notified and students may be required to change into appropriate clothing.
